Whenever possible, I bought the 20-cent packets sold by American Seed which helped keep the price down.
I can't express how much I love the idea of getting produce from the convenience of my own backyard!!!

Okay Angel, how are you going to garden, the old fashion way (lots of work) or raised beds, maybe the new lasagna method? Pick any of those and I am sure you will enjoy gardening. You mentioned herbs and I have a friend that grow lots of those. You will be able to purchase plants at the Farmers Market when it opens or perhaps we can see what my friend has. I listened to your song and your voice is so sweet. I am here because you friended me on facebook.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely raised beds. Have you read All New Square Foot Gardening by Mel Bartholomew? That's what I'm going with. There's a website too, if you want to check it out: www.squarefootgardening.com
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, even though I purchased some herb seeds, I'd rather purchase plants in some cases so I can use them faster without having to start them indoors where sunlight is limited. I hadn't considered that the Farmer's Market would have them available so appreciate the tip.
Thank you for the compliment as well.
